This is a long-selling product from Tomy, released over 40 years ago. The original was the "Plastic Train Rail Set" released in 1959, which was played with by rolling it by hand. Since then, improvements have been made to make it easier to assemble and eliminate malfunctions, but no fundamental model changes have been made. In the 1960s, a three-car version with a built-in small motor was released, and the basic train configuration remains the same today. It offers a high degree of freedom in playstyle, allowing children as young as three to play alone, add rail layouts to run them, or even work with parents to create a large-scale city layout.
